Which size cashmere bandana should I choose?
Our cashmere bandanas come in 3 different sizes, so you can choose based on how you want to wear yours. The small Hachi bandana (56 × 56 cm) is perfect tied around the neck, in the hair or on a bag for a subtle pop of colour. The large Hachiko bandana (92 × 92 cm) gives you more volume: wear it as a scarf, knotted at the chest or draped for extra warmth. The extra-large bandana (140 × 140 cm) works like a true stole, wrapped around the neck or draped over the shoulders. For a different look, the triangular Tifa bandana in silk-cashmere is easy to wear around the neck or over the shoulders.
What are Kujten cashmere bandanas made of?
Most of our bandanas, including the Hachi, Hachiko and Haki styles, are made from 100% cashmere, knitted in 2-ply printed jersey for a soft, lightweight feel. Some styles blend cashmere with other fibres: the Heli and Tifa bandanas are made from 70% cashmere and 30% silk for a more fluid, luminous finish. The Elvis, a fresh take on the paisley print, is crafted from a cashmere blend. The exact composition of each style is listed on its product page.
How do I care for a cashmere bandana?
Cashmere is a delicate fibre that gets softer with every wash, as long as you care for it properly. Hand wash your bandana in cold water, or machine wash it on a cold wool cycle with a maximum spin of 500 rpm, using a wool or cashmere detergent. Avoid soaking it for too long and never wring it. Dry it flat, away from direct sunlight and heat sources, and never tumble dry.
If needed, iron it inside out at a low temperature with a little steam. A simple cloud of steam is enough to gently smooth your cashmere. We also recommend not wearing it more than two or three days in a row so the fibres can rest, and storing it folded rather than hung. Please note that some styles are dry clean only, so always check the label and product page.
