Our commitments

THE KUJTEN COMMITMENT

In 2021, we confirmed our commitment to sustainability by becoming the first French cashmere brand to join the Sustainable Fibre Alliance (SFA), a leading international organization dedicated to protecting cashmere, its ecosystems and the communities who produce it.

Being certified by SFA is therefore synonymous with respect for the environment and social responsibility. Our cashmeres are checked at every stage of the process to ensure the most ethical and sustainable practices. This guarantees the future of cashmere, the welfare of the goats, the environment, the farmers and the world.

The culmination of a process led for several years now by our House to offer a more responsible fashion that respects the environment, the animals, and our Mongolian partners.

WHAT IS THE SFA CERTIFICATE?

SFA is a non-profit standards organisation founded in 2015 that represents a global alliance of supply chain actors, stakeholders and industry experts and has offices in the UK and Mongolia. They work with the cashmere supply chain from end to end, connecting farmers to brands and retailers in the global fashion industry.

Sustainability, traceability and fair practices are increasingly on everyone’s mind and this is exactly what the SFA organization stands for. It is fundamental that brands such as KUJTEN make a commitment, especially by joining this prestigious association. We partner with SFA to ensure the future of the land, the goats, the nomadic shepherd families and, ultimately, the cashmere industry.
